Monkeys and the Species

There’re about 260 species of monkey in this world. People often misunderstand or misuse the word ‘monkey’ and ‘ape’ because there’s no clear distinction between them. Some people consider the word ‘ape’ as the synonym for ‘monkey’ while others thinks that ape is the correct word for tail-less monkeys. Monkeys have different sizes and different habitats. Some monkeys spend their times on the trees, while others prefer living on lands, such as baboons or gorillas. Some monkeys may be very large, while others may be very small. The monkey is considered to be quite intelligent species, almost similar to dolphins, and there’s theory relating human origin to monkeys.
